Xerrades Convidades

- Ricardo Baeza-Yates és director de recerca per Europa i Amèrica Llatina de Yahoo! Research. Fins al 2005 era director del Centre d'Investigació de la Web de la Universitat de Xile i catedràtic ICREA de la Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Ara és professor a temps parcial d'ambdues Universitats. Els seus temes de recerca són els algorismes i les estructures de dades, la recuperació de la informació, la mineria de dades a la Web, les bases de dades de text i imatges, i la visualització de software i bases de dades.

- Héctor Geffner actualment és investigador ICREA i professor a la Universitat Pompeu Fabra, on dirigeix el grup d'Intel·ligència Artificial. La seva tesi fou guanyadora del guardó de l'Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) i ha sigut investigador a l'IBM T.J. Watson Research Center a Nova York, així com a la Universitat Simón Bolívar a Caracas. La seva recerca està centrada en els models i algoritmes per a la resolució automàtica de problemes.
